As the Sun Turns

Every year for many years, I would send out a detailed email covering the passing year's happenings important to me, personal and global to most of my contacts, my way for closure of the year.

These past few years being evolutionary, thus strenuous, usually disillusioned and trying new things every passing year, made them super exciting but I broke out of old habits. Grew up, moved forward, bloomed, laughed and smiled, looked at life in a newer fashion, adopted the new and successful, dumped failed experiments and yes, very regularly missed sending out that annual email.

Growing up and propelling forward in career, life becomes busier at this time of the year. Not that I have ever had a peaceful New Years Eve or the few celebrations I have made it to, didn't involve a last minute "F*** it I can't go I'm too tired after my full day at work", which I guess is the down side of being an Accountant. Year End closing always takes priority over getting wasted and singing and dancing till the break of dawn and heading home after breakfast (How I miss Lahore and Fog on New Year Mornings! What is life without that awful backache that wearing skimpy clothes in sub zero temperature all night exposes you to. Sigh) but time wrings your neck more each year, it seems. Everything pulls you into multiple directions and things just keep piling up.

All this ruckus to justify that one annual email not going out... So this year I planned on a series of blog posts running up to the New Year holding news, views, rants and updates with an intermittent listing down of resolutions.

Here's to 2013-14 :) .

Every snowflake yearns to touch the ground, to melt, to change it's state, be something it isn't yet, whether it's water, ice or a snowball. Change is but a constant. Keep Commenting...let me know what you think.
