Aim: To shred a Byron Proper Hamburger
Course of Action: Jillian. Come Shred me.
Day 1
Hardly made it through the first 14 minutes. It's a lie. It isn't 20 minutes, it's 28.
Made it straight through 14:33 before being wiped out, though got back up to do another five minutes plus the cool down stretch.
Surprisingly, it wasn't as awful as I thought it'd be. I had my heart set on falling face down in the first 10 minutes flat.
She's very relatable and has one of the girls dedicated to beginner schmucks like me. Her abs hardly say she's a beginner but I'll believe whatever gets me closer to 120lbs.
I'm at 140.
That's a long journey and today was the first day.
I got past the first ten minutes.
Here's to real-to-me goals and a future filled with lemon meringue pies and Mac and Cheese.
Good job! High five self!!
Day 2
Just the arms and windmills felt like my arms would unhinge and fall off. I thought I won't last more than 5 minutes today however the only thing I couldn't manage were the side lunges and third circuit rope skip jumps because my ankles felt like they will dissemble. Like Lego. And not in a good way.
Powered through the rest, still baffled how I managed.
Also the last stretches, yeah I can't bend forward. Like. At all. I'm trying not to take it personally. With my extremely sedentary life even ten minutes of this every day would've helped me, I just hope I don't give up on this on day 3 like most regimens. Like moisturisers and sun block and washing my face every day. Oops!
P.S. I'm walking like a scarecrow. Sore all over. Waiting for the promised day 5 for flowers and birds.
Day 3
Holy Moly. Miracles really do happen. The first time I flipped over to check the time between switching exercises was at 23:22 and then I just went through the rest right through the end, singing Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" in my head all the way through.
The only place I kinda cheated was side lunges again today where I replaced a set of those with chest flies.
I do have an observation about chest flies though. Why do they come along in Circuit 3 when we are already out of ammo? I seriously feel like one of these days I'll press back on top, exhale and drop my free weights right on my face smooshing myself into a punch faced Persian feline. It's a real fear. Promise. Arms are Rafhan Jelly by then Bhai! Someone tell Jillian to save my only, mediocre face. I need them bones.
So all in all a surprising day. Soreness went down a notch. It was still challenging and I did fall flat on my face on the bed right after (as usual, before the shower) but I did last through the entire 28 minutes.
Things are lookin' up! This just might work! Says the one who couldn't live through the seven day Ponds lemon cold cream challenge back in the day. Does anyone remember that or am I the only dinosaur in the house? Sigh. Them skinny days.
Okay that's all for now.
Triceratops Out.

Every snowflake yearns to touch the ground, to melt, to change it's state, be something it isn't yet, whether it's water, ice or a snowball. Change is but a constant. Keep Commenting...let me know what you think.
